A sectional with a chaise needs different planning than a set of dining chairs. Tell us the number of pieces, seats, and removable cushions, and point out the arms, headrests, or favorite spots that need attention.
We start with the item and its care instructions, then discuss the cleaning approach and your concerns. Tell us about spots, odors, delicate fabrics, and earlier treatments so we can set clear expectations.
For a useful estimate.
- A full view of each piece and close-ups of spots or damage.
- The number of matching pieces and approximate size or seat count.
- The manufacturer’s care label and anything already used on the fabric.
Include your ZIP code, city if known, and parking or access details. We review requests from across the San Francisco Bay Area, including San Francisco and Daly City. Share your ZIP code and any parking or access details so we can check the route and availability.
Good to know.
Can every fabric be cleaned the same way?
No. Materials, dyes, backing, and construction can require different care. Send a clear photo of the manufacturer’s care label. A W code is not blanket permission for steam cleaning or machine extraction; some manufacturers specifically prohibit those methods. Delicate, unstable-dye, or dry-clean-only fabrics may need a specialist.
Can every stain be removed?
No. Cleaning can remove or improve many everyday spots, but complete removal is not guaranteed. Results depend on the material, the stain, its age, and any previous treatment. Coffee, tea, and wine may need specialized treatment. Burns, fading, worn fibers, and permanent color loss cannot be reversed by cleaning.
How long does a sofa take to dry?
Dodo’s average sofa drying time is about 10–12 hours with normal ventilation. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. Fabric, cushion thickness, temperature, humidity, and air movement can make drying faster or slower. Let the upholstery dry completely before using it. Carpet and rug drying times need to be estimated separately; the sofa range should not be assumed for them.
